About us

Nosh

Yo! I'm Nosh (of Nosh & Beverage). Welcome to our blog! I'd like to think of Nosh & Beverage as a lifestyle blog, that follows our natural inclinations to wine and dine at certain places. While our sole purpose of visiting different estabishments is not to blog, why not expand our horizons and document our findings for the betterment of society (or just our friends anyways?).

Now, a bit about myself:
Hometown: Sydney, Australia (born and bred)
Fav fancy "nosh" joint so far: Est.
Fav "beverage" right now: Little Creatures - Pale ale
Fav dumpling joint so far: Din Tai Fung
Fav degustation so far: Galileo Restaurant
Food motto: Value for money!

Beverage

The name's Bhav... but someone started calling me Bev and it kinda stuck :) Beverage was another genius invention by one of my mates... and so here I am... half of Nosh & Beverage and part of a team of Sydney-ites who love to check out the food scene!

Kids grow up wanting to be a lot of things... on my list amongst other things such as private detective, hotel owner and pilot... was chef. However I thought the task was futile since I was such a fussy eater... I pretty much wouldn't eat most things on the planet! That all changed with a degustation menu or two, a couple of adventurous friends, a lot of watching food shows and a developing idea of "if a good chef puts down good food in front of you, you trust them and eat it"... and so my new motto is "I'll try anything" and a foodie is created :)

 Hometown: Sydney, Australia
Embarrassing Restaurant Moment: When a waiter leant in to take my menu from me and instead of giving it to him I accidentally shook his hand firmly instead!
 Food motto: Challenge my tastebuds!

The Regulars ...reappearing characters :)

Teacakes
Hi I'm Teacakes! I like to think the name was coined (by Bev) because of my sweet nature and love of tea! Some may disagree with this interpretation but not many would contest my love of food.

Food constantly occupies my thoughts and I am always thinking about where to eat next. I am a lover not only of fine dining but of little establishments who cook their food with love and care. My most exciting food experiences have ranged from discovering a littler restaurant on a laneway that served magnificently mouth watering meals through to three-hatted restaurants offering full blown service, attention to detail and of course delectable dishes.

Memorable International Food Moments: Iced Coffee in Vienna, Tokaji wine in Hungary, Goulash in Hopfgarten, Foie Gras in Budapest and Lobster Bisque in London.
